UPDATES FROM THE DIRECTOR:

Greetings from the Marketenderschlössl!  The Fall Semester 2012 group from the University of Redlands arrived on the 30th of August.  This new community of 23 diverse students cheerfully undertook three days of intensive orientation at our historic home on the Mönchsberg in Salzburg.  The initial day was filled with discussions about the importance of the study abroad experience and its relation to the mission and history of the University of Redlands.  After all, the U of R has hosted a Salzburg Group every year since 1960!  

After a scenic but rainy hike around the Mönchsberg the group settled down to a great meal at the Stieglkeller, just beneath the Festung. The first gathering of the Gemeinschaft Sitzung, our weekly community meeting followed. We capped the day with a visit to the famous Augustinerbräustuberl.  MORE/CONTINUED READING
