Alumni Art Gallery

Before the University of Redlands Alumni House Art Gallery opened its doors in October 1992, the only objects featured were a metal fuse box and a well-used rug. Honoring its goal of adding beauty and interest to what were once two plain rooms, the art gallery displays photographs, paintings, illustrations, and other beautiful art created by university alumni, faculty member, or friend of the university.

Originally funded by the Panhellenic Alumnae, the gallery is overseen by a committee of local and university artists. More than 30 artists have been featured in group and individual shows, including such artists as alumna and Alumni House art gallery coordinator Lois Fair Wilson '45, retired faculty member Doug Bowman, and Carol Appleton, wife of President James R. Appleton.

Recommendations for future featured artists are welcomed from alumni, Town & Gown members, and friends of the university.

Those interested in visiting the gallery may contact the Alumni House for gallery times and dates.
